Dr. Anthony Agadzi, M.D.

Dr. Anthony Agadzi is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 18 years of experience in comprehensive eye care, specializing in cataract surgery. Born and raised in Accra, Ghana, Dr. Agadzi moved to the United States to complete his education, earning his medical degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis in 2003.  He subsequently specialized in Ophthalmology after graduating residency training from the University of California - San Francisco in 2007.

Dr. Agadzi is widely recognized for his clinical excellence and dedication to patient care. Most recently, he and Redwood Eye Center were honored with the “Medical Doctor and Clinic of the Year” award by the Times Herald Newspaper in Vallejo, California.

A passionate advocate for eye health across all age groups, Dr. Agadzi is committed to delivering the highest level of care to children, adults, and seniors alike. He is particularly enthusiastic about cataract surgery, describing it as one of his favorite and most fulfilling aspects of the profession. 

Outside of clinical work, Dr. Agadzi is deeply involved in community outreach, participating in public health screenings, educational forums, and philanthropic initiatives, often in partnership with local organizations such as the Lions Club.

Multilingual and community-focused, Dr. Agadzi is fluent in several international languages (among them Spanish) which enhances his ability to connect with a diverse patient population.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Agadzi enjoys skiing, biking, traveling, and appreciating good food and wine. Known for his approachable and friendly nature, he brings a spirit of warmth and professionalism to everything he does.
