Gentle, Trusted Eye Care for Your Child’s Growing Vision

We help kids see clearly from the very start. Our pediatric eye exams in Vallejo support your child’s vision, learning, and development in a calm, welcoming space trusted by local families for generations.

It is recommended that every child have an eye exam by age 6, or upon referral from their school vision screening, pediatrician, or concerned relative/guardian or parent. Common issues may include sitting unusually close to a TV or digital screen, a droopy eyelid, or a cross-eyed appearance.

Why Children’s Eye Exams Matter

Vision problems in kids are more common than most parents realize and often go undetected.

Difficulty seeing can affect school performance, confidence, and behavior.

We recommend that every child have an eye exam by age 6, or upon referral from their school vision screening, pediatrician, concerned relative/guardian, or parent.

Typical issues may include sitting unusually close to a TV or digital screen, a droopy eyelid, or a cross-eyed appearance.

Our eye exams help identify and treat issues like myopia (nearsightedness), amblyopia (lazy eye), and strabismus (eye misalignment) early, when care is most effective.

What to Expect During a Pediatric Visit

We personalize each eye exam to your child’s age and needs. For younger kids, we use gentle tools and age-appropriate visuals.

For older children, we perform more detailed vision testing, refractions, and screenings. Our team explains each step to keep kids and parents comfortable and confident.

Our team uses age-appropriate techniques to ensure your child feels comfortable throughout the exam. From fun, interactive vision screenings to gentle guidance from our pediatric-trained optometrists. Led by Dr. Quan Dao, we personalize the experience to your child’s age, needs, and comfort level.

Myopia Management & Ortho-K for Kids

As kids grow, nearsightedness often progresses. That’s why we offer myopia control options.

For children with progressive nearsightedness, we offer ortho-k lenses a non-surgical option worn overnight to gently reshape the cornea and reduce dependence on glasses. Myopia control is most effective when started early, and our goal is to protect your child’s vision as they grow.
